Air Conditioner Service in Tezpur: A Complete Guide for Homes and Offices

Tezpur summers are long, hot and sticky. From April to September your air conditioner works harder than almost any other appliance in the house, and like any machine it needs regular care. A well serviced AC cools faster, uses less electricity and lasts years longer. This guide explains what a good air conditioner service in Tezpur should include and how often you really need one.

What a proper AC service includes

A quick filter rinse is not a full service. When our technicians at Ashirbad Electronics service an AC, the checklist covers:

• Cleaning the air filters and checking them for damage
• Washing the indoor cooling coil (evaporator) to remove dust and mould
• Cleaning the outdoor unit's condenser coil and fan blades
• Flushing the drain pipe so water does not leak inside the room
• Checking gas pressure and looking for signs of a leak
• Inspecting wiring, capacitor and connections for loose or burnt parts
• Measuring cooling at the vent to confirm the AC is performing as it should

How often should you service your AC in Tezpur?

For most homes, two services a year is the sweet spot: one before summer (February or March) and one after the monsoon (October or November). Offices, shops and clinics that run ACs eight or more hours a day benefit from three or four visits a year.

Dust from roads and construction, plus the high humidity of the Brahmaputra valley, means coils clog faster here than in drier parts of India. Skipping service is the most common reason we see ACs that "run all day but don't cool".

Signs your AC needs service right now

• Cooling is weaker than last season
• Water dripping from the indoor unit
• A musty or damp smell when the AC starts
• Unusual rattling, buzzing or clicking sounds
• Your electricity bill has jumped without a change in usage

Wet service or dry service?

A dry service (filter cleaning and a basic check) is fine between visits. Once a year, though, your AC needs a wet service or jet deep clean, where the coils are washed with water pressure to flush out the dirt that filters cannot catch. In Tezpur's climate this single step often restores most of the lost cooling.

Choosing an AC service provider in Tezpur

Look for a local team that services all major brands, explains what they found before starting extra work, and gives a clear quote. Ask whether spare parts are genuine and whether the work comes with a short service warranty.
